Here is the 'Pathways' story:

On holidays as a little kid my dad would take me out for walks. Often times we would play follow and copy the leader, I loved this game. I followed him wherever he led and copied whatever he did. Then there were other times that we just wandered chatting away. He listened, he loved and he always made space for me to say whatever was on the top of my heart. Even as an adult he continued to pursue time with me to listen, to laugh and to learn - mostly me from him but his incredible heart was always ready to learn from me too.

As I walk this life pathway now without him earth side - I hold deep in my heart the awareness of always giving myself space like he gave me, space to pause, space to process, space to heal, space to run, space to laugh, space to marvel and space to sit for a bit and let my eyes to leak the pain in my heart. He taught me how to value the pathway, how to walk it well and constantly reminded me not go too fast (which I default to all too often) and miss the beauty along the way. He also so kindly and gently nudged me when I got stuck in one spot with my head down. Dad reminded me to lift my eyes, take the hands offered to me to help me get up and sometimes even carry me in the heaviest and hardest times. Adjust my gaze, take a deep breath and find strength in truth.

So friends, can I encourage you (and myself) as you put one foot in front of the other on your pathway, to make space, don't run too fast, accept the hands offered to us and take in the beauty around us.

Kim xx
